skaiwater Releases Wonderful, Shares Documentary + Announces First U.S. Headline Tour

On February 20, genre-blurring artist skaiwater unveiled their new album Wonderful, marking their first full-length release as an independent artist. Self-directed and hands-on from start to finish, the 18-track project finds skaiwater not only performing and producing, but also mixing the album and overseeing its larger creative vision.

A follow-up to #MIA (Manic in America), Wonderful expands the UK-born artist’s sonic world. The project features collaborations with Tezzus, Ti Steele, and diamond*, alongside production from skaiwater, North West, Bankroll Got It, and others. From the high-energy focus track “DOG” featuring Tezzus to more restrained, introspective cuts, the album moves fluidly between alt-rap intensity and R&B-leaning reflection.

Conceptually, Wonderful explores themes of media influence, social programming, and modern chaos, pulling inspiration from film and cultural narratives. The album’s cinematic thread runs through both its sound and presentation, reinforcing skaiwater’s reputation for genre-defying, visually driven work.

Alongside the release, skaiwater dropped a behind-the-scenes documentary featuring years of unreleased footage, offering a closer look at their creative process and life offstage. The artist also launched a limited-edition merch collection tied to the album, including vinyl, apparel, and a VIP box with NFC-enabled exclusive content.

To bring Wonderful to the stage, skaiwater will embark on their first-ever U.S. headline “Wonderful” Tour beginning March 9 in Phoenix and concluding April 2 in Los Angeles. They’re also set to perform at Rolling Loud Orlando on May 10.

With Wonderful, skaiwater continues to stretch hip-hop’s boundaries — independently and on their own terms.
