Shinedown Announce EI8HT, Drop “Safe And Sound,” + Reveal Massive World Tour

Multi-platinum rock powerhouse Shinedown have officially announced their eighth studio album, EI8HT, set for release May 29 via Atlantic Records. Alongside the announcement, the band unveiled a brand-new track, “Safe And Sound,” giving fans the first taste of the upcoming project.

Frontman Brent Smith shared that the album has been over a year in the making, with the band pushing themselves creatively — particularly longtime bandmate and producer Eric Bass. The new single, “Safe And Sound,” is described by Smith as a statement piece, signaling strength and confidence as the band steps into this next era.

To support EI8HT, Shinedown will embark on the Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour, spanning 54 dates across 11 countries. The run includes major stops throughout North America, the UK, and Europe, with tickets going on sale February 20 in North America and February 27 (10am local) for EU and UK dates. Select shows will feature support from Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, From Ashes To New, and Those Damn Crows.

The announcement follows a dominant year for the band, highlighted by multiple #1 rock radio hits including “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Killing Fields,” and “Searchlight.” Shinedown also earned three nominations at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards: Rock Artist of the Year, Rock Song of the Year (“Dance, Kid, Dance”), and Duo/Group of the Year.

With EI8HT on the horizon and a global tour underway, Shinedown continue to expand their legacy — pairing arena-scale ambition with the anthemic intensity that has defined their career.
