Amélie Siegmund builds a distinctive visual language through RAW SOULS Productions

Behind every production that moves an audience, there is not only a strong story but also a director who knows where to look, when to remain silent, and how to turn an emotion into an image. Amélie Siegmund has built her career around that belief.

As a director, cinematographer, screenwriter, and co-founder of RAW SOULS Productions Inc., she has developed a body of work shaped by sensitivity, intuition, and close attention to the small gestures that reveal a character's truth. Based in Los Angeles, she has a vision that extends across narrative films, music videos, and international commercial campaigns.

Her work is defined by an intimate visual language, emotionally honest storytelling, and a strong sensitivity to character, atmosphere, and production design.

Since founding RAW SOULS Productions in Los Angeles alongside director and producer Julian Kleinert, Siegmund has helped develop the company into an international creative platform that brings together European cinematic sensibilities and the scale and flexibility of the U.S. production industry. Through RAW SOULS, she has worked on projects for artists, record labels, fashion houses, and global brands across the United States and Europe, including AMIRI, Warner Music, Universal Music, Sony Music, and Thomann.

In 2026, Siegmund co-wrote and co-directed the independent short film 2 [TU:] with Kleinert. Produced by RAW SOULS Productions, the film was selected to screen at the Short Film Corner | Rendez-vous Industry during the 79th Festival de Cannes, where it was showcased in May 2026.

The project features performances by Jeunixa, Sydney Malakeh, and Deroway, along with an original soundtrack by Symons Musik and David Grabowski. The selection marked an important moment of international recognition for Siegmund’s work as a filmmaker and for RAW SOULS’ growing presence within independent cinema.

At the center of her artistic practice is the belief that cinema should make people feel seen, rather than impress them visually. Siegmund sees the camera as a tool for closeness, empathy, and emotional truth.

Her collaboration with Kleinert is built on two distinct creative strengths. While he brings structure, communication, and production strategy, Siegmund takes a more intuitive and introspective approach centered on imagination, observation, and emotional detail. Together, they have developed a shared working language in which artistic instinct and practical execution support one another.

“Julian gives my ideas structure without ever taking away their magic. He is the calm beside my creative, chaotic brain, the person who helps turn feelings, visions, and impossible dreams into something real.” — Amélie Siegmund

Siegmund describes RAW SOULS as the meeting point between their different ways of understanding the world. “He brings our ideas into the world; I often receive them from somewhere quieter. He builds the bridge, and I listen to the universe. RAW SOULS exists somewhere between those two energies—his clarity and openness, and my intuition and imagination.”

Today, Amélie Siegmund continues to direct, write, and develop original narrative films while leading international productions for the music and commercial industries from Los Angeles. Her career reflects a commitment to creating visually distinctive work that never loses sight of the people, emotions, and human experiences at the center of every story.

For production companies, artists, and brands looking for a director who can turn an idea into a sensitive, authentic, and carefully crafted cinematic story, Amélie Siegmund offers a perspective grounded in both visual precision and emotional honesty.
