Lamb of God's "Omens" Tour Annihilates Inglewood's' YouTube Theater

Celebrating the release of their 9th studio album, heavy metal band Lamb of God brought their “Omens Tour” to Inglewood’s newest, state of the art ‘YouTube Theater’. The massive three story structure sits adjacent to ‘SoFi’ Stadium and houses up to 6,000 sectators. Designed to be an intimate venue, there is not a bad seat in the house which gave Thursday nights fans the chance to experience the show up close and personal.

Promoting their newest studio album , ‘Oh What the Future Holds’ that released in January, American deathcore band ‘Fit for an Autopsy’ was the first band on the lineup and they wasted no time launching into an annihilating rotation of songs including, “The Sea of Tragic Beast”, “Your Pain is Mine”, and concluding with “Black Mammoth”.

‘Animals as Leaders’ followed and was a nice switch up from the heavy, hitting screams of ‘Fit for an Autopsy’. Masked in low lights of green and blue the vibe was set as the band joined the stage and launched into “Arithmaphobia'“. Known as an instrumental progressive metal band, the Washington D.C trio played a 6 song lineup also included songs, “Gordian Night” , and ” Micro Aggressions”.

‘Killswitch Engage’ is a must see band for any metal loving fan and pairing up ‘Lamb of God’ on the ‘Omens’ tour solidified their place as one of the top tours of the summer. The energy from front man Jesse Leach radiated across the venue as he darted from one side of the stage performing “Strength of Mind”, and “This is Absolution” before hopping off the stage and into the crowd during the song“Rose of Shayrn”. The band performed a solid set of 14 songs that included Dio cover, “Holy Diver” and concluded with “The Signal Fire” which included former an appearance from former frontman Howard Jones.

‘Lamb of God’ hit the stage to a sea of screams and chants from the fired up crowd of metal heads. Keeping up with the energy of Killswitch’s performance, vocalist D. Randall Blythe took command of the crowd with a huge stage production that included large bursts of pyro. Crowd surfers and mosh pits quickly ensued and did not stop until the final note was played. Blythe’s agility was incredible as he leapt of the drumkit multiple times as flames flickered in the background. Performing a 15 song set including fan favorites “Laid to Rest”, “Now You’ve Got Something to Die For”, “Omerta” as well as playing the title track off their latest album “Omens”. The band concluded the night with “Redneck” which left fans feeling complete and yet still screaming for more.
