Just Jayne Kick Off 2026 with Sassy New Single “Death & Taxes”

This Friday, Nashville-based trio Just Jayne return with their first release of 2026, the radiant and razor-sharp “Death & Taxes.”

Built on the undeniable truth that some things in life are inevitable, the country-pop anthem takes aim at an all-too-predictable ex — not with heartbreak, but with humor. Instead of lingering in post-breakup sadness, Just Jayne lean into confidence, delivering a bubbly yet biting sendoff wrapped in glossy production and tight, three-part harmonies.

Comprised of singer-songwriters Taylor Edwards, Jillian Steele, and Rachel Wiggins, the trio continue to carve out their space in modern country with a sound rooted in classic harmony-driven storytelling. Their vocal blend recently caught the attention of Taste of Country, which named them to its “RISERS: 2026 Artists to Watch” list, praising the group for “bringing beautiful three-part harmonies back to country music.”

On “Death & Taxes,” those harmonies shine front and center — stacked, lively, and effortlessly in sync — adding warmth and dimension to lyrics that cut with unapologetic sass. It’s polished without losing personality, playful without sacrificing bite.

The release arrives amid a busy stretch on the road. Just Jayne are continuing their support run with singer-songwriter Maddox Batson and are set to make their international debut at C2C Festival in London next month. In April, they’ll join multi-platinum hitmaker Nate Smith for select tour dates. The trio have previously shared stages with artists including Maddie & Tae, Billy Currington, and Tyler Hubbard — building a reputation for a live show that matches their vibrant recorded sound.

With “Death & Taxes,” Just Jayne step confidently into 2026 — harmonies tight, energy high, and zero tears shed.
