Calum Scott Teams Up with Aitch for Reimagined “Unsteady”
This Friday, multi-platinum UK artist Calum Scott returns with a new take on “Unsteady,” this time joined by English rap force Aitch. The track, originally featured on Calum’s 2025 album Avenoir, finds new life through the collaboration — adding rhythmic contrast and a fresh emotional layer while preserving the song’s core message.
At its heart, “Unsteady” is about embracing flaws instead of hiding them. Calum leans into that honesty from the opening lines: “I’m a little unsteady, a little messed up, a little bit petty,” before reframing vulnerability as connection: “But I’ve found a place to go, and I’m standing all alone with you / ’Cause you’re unsteady, too.”
Aitch builds on that sentiment with a reflective verse of his own: “Even better than expected from the second we connected / Yeah, I might be a little crazy, but you’re the only one that gets it.” His contribution introduces a grounded perspective that complements Calum’s soaring delivery, creating a balanced exchange rather than a simple feature.
The collaboration itself unfolded naturally. After Calum saw a clip of Aitch’s sister singing one of his earlier hits, the two connected directly. What began as a friendly exchange evolved into a studio session, where Aitch quickly developed his verse after hearing “Unsteady” ahead of its release. The result feels conversational and authentic — two artists meeting in the middle of a shared theme.
The single arrives amid an active touring season for Calum. Following dates across Asia, Europe, South Africa, and the UK, he launches the North American leg of his Avenoir Tour on March 23 in Vancouver, with stops planned at major venues including The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater, and Terminal 5 in New York City.
With this reimagined version of “Unsteady,” Calum and Aitch spotlight the quiet strength in imperfection — a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful connections are built on mutual understanding rather than polish.
