Dry Ice & The Crescendos bring a chilling tug at your heartstrings

CL Turner is a talented musician who has been playing keys by ear since he was 10 (an awesome feat to be sure). His diverse musical influences range from Post Malone to Aretha Franklin. About 10 years ago, he discovered his songwriting talent, which has been shaped by many life-changing experiences that he relays in clever ways through his music's inspired structures and sounds.

"I'm all cried out, no tears to give, no idea how I'm supposed to live."

Turner's session group, Dry Ice and the Crescendos features skilled musicians and production talent, including a Grammy-winning producer who has worked with Coldplay. Their songs feature carefully crafted lyrics that evoke deep emotions and are accompanied by a pop-friendly syncopated beat.

Dry Ice and the Crescendos' debut album, Heart and Soul, features their first single, Hole in My Heart (HIMH). Although many people consider it to be a break-up song, it's not your typical heartbreak tune.

In fact, HIMH was inspired by CL Turner's personal experience. When he was going through a divorce, he was worried about losing access to his then-infant daughter. That fear was transformed into music, resulting in the lyrics of HIMH. Despite the difficult circumstances, we're glad to report that in fact, Turner has maintained a great relationship with his daughter, who also takes after him in their love of music. The track starts out with the sharp wailing of a guitar, shooting into your head like a star racing across the night sky.

"Hell, no, there's no way, I'll ever turn my back on you."

Persevering through a divorce to maintain a relationship with a child is not an easy feat, but it can be incredibly rewarding. When parents prioritize their child's well-being and happiness, they can create a strong and lasting bond that can withstand any challenges. Turner's story is a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit, and the inexorable bond that ties two people for life.
