All Time Low performs their new album Everyone's Talking at YouTube Theater
Fresh off the release of Everyone’s Talking! and a run of shows in Las Vegas (Fremont Street and When We Were Young) and San Jose, All Time Low and Mayday Parade brought the Everyone’s Talking! Tour to Los Angeles for a night that proved emo isn’t stuck in the past, it’s still growing, adapting, and thriving.
Mayday Parade opened the night with “Under My Sweater,” the first track off Sad, the second part of their 20th anniversary album trilogy released earlier this month. Frontman Derek Sanders commanded the stage, his long hair flowing under the lights as the band blended new songs from Sweet and Sad with fan favorites like “Black Cat” and “Jamie All Over.” Their new material carried the emotional punch they’ve always been known for. Just sharper, more mature, and perfectly fit for today’s crowd.
After a quick set change, came Alex Gaskarth, standing alone under a spotlight with an acoustic guitar, opening the set with “[cold open].” It was quiet, intimate, and beautifully done. Then the stage lit up with bright colors pulled straight from All Time Low’s Everyone’s Talking! aesthetic. The rest of the band exploded onto the stage, flipping the mood from calm to chaos in seconds as they ripped through “Oh No!,” and “SUCKERPUNCH” both off the new album.
All Time Low tore through a long set packed with new material and classics. The new songs showed how much the band’s sound has evolved, energetic, and polished while tracks like “Damned If I Do Ya” and “Dear Maria, Count Me In” kept the crowd screaming every lyric like no time had passed.
What stood out most wasn’t just the nostalgia, but how both bands continue to push forward. Mayday Parade and All Time Low have managed to evolve without losing what made them special. Emo isn’t stuck in the past. It’s alive, evolving, and louder than ever.
