6lack performing at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida

It was the night before Thanksgiving, and Atlanta artist 6LACK was having a concert at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. It was a chilly night, which is always a great sign in Miami because we do not get many days with fantastic weather, so it is evident that I was in for a great night on 11/22/2023. Opening for 6LACK on this night was first QUIN, followed by Jordan Ward. Both have been on tour with him for a while and if my research is correct, although they are not all on the same label as 6lack, they have collaborated with him on songs in the past, so clearly, he was bringing artists on a tour that he truly liked/was a fan of QUIN was the first opener. I was not as familiar with her and her music, but she was great. Her aura and just how she sounded vocally was majestic. I looked more into her catalog after seeing her live, which is always fun as a fan when first learning about an artist.

Next was Jordan Ward, who I had known about because of his “FORWARD’ album, but I did not realize that he would be performing at this tour stop, so that was a fantastic surprise. He probably had the best energy I’ve seen from a performer in a long time. He was dancing, doing splits, singing songs, and killing it. At some point during Jordan’s performance, 6LACK came out, and they performed the song “MUSTARD” together. The crowd immediately got excited at seeing the headline more rapidly than expected. After that, it was time for the main attraction.

6LACK’s performance was phenomenal. He sounded exactly like he says in his songs, which I always appreciate as a fan of music that involves singing. It was also great seeing how strong his stage presence was because once he got on stage for his set, you could feel the crowd immediately draw in. Also, the stage design was unique with it made to look like there was grass, which gave it a very Earthly tone. I’ve been a fan of 6LACK ever since he dropped his debut album, “Free 6lack,” so to be able to photograph him and see him perform about seven years later was a blessing because moments like that I do not take for granted so if you have the chance to catch him live, I would highly recommend it.
