“You Are My Destiny” Positions Luca and Claudette as a Rising Independent Force
Italian producer Gianluca Zanna and singer and electric violinist Claudette Lyons present “You Are My Destiny,” a single that has gained traction within the independent electronic music scene. The track combines EDM production with Claudette’s electric violin and is part of the independent label Zanna Records' catalog.
Starting as an independent release with no major label support, the track has quickly made a global impact. Luca and Claudette saw their music featured on a Billboard Spotify playlist, claimed the top spot on the North American College and Community Radio Chart, and reached the top three on Amazon's Dance and Electronic chart. Beyond the charts, the song has been played on radio stations in 39 countries, and its video has amassed over 18 million views on YouTube, demonstrating the broad international appeal of their work.
Before building his career as a producer and founder of Zanna Records, Gianluca Zanna recalls an experience that would later become central to his personal and artistic narrative. As a student at a boarding school in Rome, he experienced a recurring vision that stayed with him for years. He dreamt of a woman he had not yet met but whose presence seemed to belong to a story that had yet to unfold.
That idea remained with him as he moved through different stages of his life, from attending a military academy in Italy to immigrating to the United States in 1998, and eventually became a key element of his creative narrative. According to Zanna, that story took a concrete form on January 28, 2023, in Sedona, Arizona, when he met Dr. Claudette Lyons, with whom he would later develop the musical project they present today.
“I wrote songs about her before I knew her name. Then I met her in Sedona, and the song already existed,” says Gianluca Zanna.
Zanna previously built a career as a composer and producer with more than 150 songs released across multiple genres, ranging from classical music to hard rock. Claudette, meanwhile, brings to the project a combination of vocals and electric violin that introduces an instrumental element not commonly found in electronic music production.
One of the most striking aspects of the song’s story is a prediction made by Claes Cornelius, a former Mega Records executive known for supporting Ace of Base early in their career. In February 2025, Cornelius sent an email to Zanna stating that “You Are My Destiny” had the potential to become a strong contender within the playlist and radio circuit. The message was written months before the single began appearing on charts and prominent playlists.
Luca and Claudette are also working on a book inspired by “You Are My Destiny,” expanding beyond the song to explore their story as both a creative partnership and a deeply personal journey. At the same time, they are planning an exclusive retreat in Sedona for fall 2026, limited to ten attendees, that will combine a private performance with guided hypnotherapy sessions and immersive storytelling experiences in the landscape where the song was born.
With “You Are My Destiny,” Luca and Claudette continue to consolidate an independent development model based on self-production, digital distribution, and international presence across radio and streaming platforms.
