Wyn & the White Light Are Exploring the Divine Femininity With Their Debut Album “Luck”

New England all-female soulful rock band Wyn & The White Light is bringing the divine light of femininity to their music. Led by Wyn Doran who is no stranger to the New England music scene since she has received numerous NEMA nominations, acting as an opener for several important musicians such as Rhett Miller and Giant Rooks, and working side-by-side with Ben Folds at songwriting. Wyn is now joining forces with Lucia Jean and Heidi Tierney to release their debut album titled "Luck." This new electrifying chapter is destined to take The White Light into the mainstream.

The album consists of ten fascinating songs, each one seeking to transmit an important message, touching on themes like femininity, divinity, and near-death experiences. What brought Wyn & The White Light together was the fact that all of them have faced some sort of medical trauma. Having faced death face-to-face has strengthened their bond and made their unity pretty much unbreakable. The trio brings a much-needed perspective to the world of music. Women's issues are often overlooked or right-down ignored. Each of these songs serves as an anthem for those seeking comfort. Their blend of acoustic and alt-rock is magnificent. In songs like "Signed in Pen" and "Statue," we get a taste of Wyn's deep but at the same time comforting voice, like the embrace of a mother. The sweet acoustic melody will take you on a magical journey, one you will not soon forget. However, they're not afraid of turning the volume up and taking everything to the next level. With hard guitars and strong vocals on songs like "Heal Me," "Disoriented," and my personal favorite, "White Noise." Sometimes you need to get loud to prove your point, and these girls have displayed an impressive ability to do just that.

"Our debut album, 'Luck', is a journey through the divine feminine and near-death experience. It took examining it from every angle to recognize that this album became my safe space to process widespread trauma, from growing up with a misdiagnosed autoimmune disease and nearly losing my life, to the frustration of societal patterns. Each song gives way for previously suppressed fragments of my soul to have a voice and tell their story," Wyn Doran explains and continues, "We centered the album release around the Celtic calendar, beginning with singles trickling out with the Autumnal Equinox, known as the day ‘dark overtakes the light.’ The full album lands with the first day of Spring and an ode to the rise of light. Our lives go through cycles, just as nature does, and this album reflects on the darkest moments of my life with the reminder that when we can bring the scariest pieces of ourselves out to be examined, we can finally let the light in."

Wyn & The White Light are using their divine femininity as a bright light, shining down into our world and dispelling the darkness in our hearts. The trio has crafted an absorbing and intriguing piece of art that will leave a lasting impression on anyone who listens.
