Stefano May heals and mends with "Find My Way"

Stefano May sure knows how to make a strong first impression, he wastes no time showing you what he's all about and what he's capable of with his newest song "Find My Way". The track starts off with a brief A capella-like vocalization that wake you up just as well as any strong mug of coffee would, and from there he continues a vocal onslaught of high belted notes and impeccable technique, making him -hands down- the most impressive male singer I've heard all year.

Born in Soveria Mannelli, Italy, Stefano Maiuolo began singing and making music early on, becoming a classically-trained pianist at age 7 and going on to become a notable mainstay in Italian television thanks to his performances. His musical career would eventually blossom in the world of television and film, becoming a soundtrack composer and scorer, working alongside the famous multidisciplinary director and producer Franco Zeffirelli and award-winning filmmaker Jamal Joseph.

It wouldn't be until 2019 when Stefano, now going by "Stefano May", would go on to strike out on his own as a solo artist working with famous producer Chico Bennett ( known for his work with the likes of Madonna, The Killers, and even Prince!). In this new stage of his life and career, Stefano's focus seems to be in making music under the firm belief that it can change people for the better, stating “Music is made to heal your soul. People find commonality in the music they listen to and every song has the right time and place for each of its listeners.”. So it is no surprise then that his string of singles has a common theme of being uplifting and positive, with "Find My Way" being no exception.

"Find My Way" is the gorgeous feel-good anthem a lot of you've been waiting for this spring, and boy is it a welcome change of pace from all the doom and gloom in the world right now. Fitting all of this, Stefano found inspiration for this new production in the realm of Motown music; by blending his natural pop proclivities with funky grooves and vocal/harmonic elements from the traditions of Jazz, Soul, and early R&B. The end result is a song that feels like an anthological potpourri of danceable rhythms that just as easily invites you to sing along to its optimistic and catchy hooks. The song echoes the lessons learned from his mother, who always instilled a sense of courage and good cheer in the face of adversity, and to always pursue his dreams.

The single is accompanied with a fine music video directed by Chico Bennett himself which "narrates daily life in Los Angeles during unparalleled times", a grounded yet ultimately positive look at the City of Angels and its people from the street level, away but never entirely apart from neither the glitz & glam nor the grit of its concrete jungle aspect; blending the contrastingly disparate lifestyles of its peoples by humanizing the city itself as a living organism that can ultimately thrive on the love, generosity, and compassion of its inhabitants.
