Krissy's new song is a masterclass on self-love

Alias 'Krissy' is a Manhattan-based artist with refreshing lyrics and killer beats that will sway even the grouchiest listener to the motions of her enthralling pop cocktail. She grew up in a traditional Christian-Caribbean household, where she first started singing in church. Her musical interests were diverse from a young age, ranging from Elton John to Hannah Montana.

Krissy's passion for music truly blossomed during her time at The New School in NYC. She began to hone her talents in the pursuit of her dreams of playing sold-out shows in front of an enamored audience. She aspires to have a career that crosses genres and mediums, as she is a lover of all art forms. She combines her love for fashion and cinema with her music, creating a unique and refreshing sound inspired by the likes of Madonna, Lana Del Rey, Ludwig Goransson, and FKA Twigs among others.

Krissy's latest single, "Want To Want Me," is a powerful anthem for women who know their worth. The song is about giving someone one last chance to commit to you, but if they don't, you're walking away knowing that you're better off without them.

"Want To Want Me" is all about knowing the value of your time and your emotional energy. A relationship that feels one-sided is a waste for both parties and having the emotional maturity to realize this and do what needs to be done is without a doubt the best thing that can happen.

“My upcoming EP ‘Eat This Cake’ is thematically about young situationships, much inspired by my own romantic experiences. Want to Want Me is the balance of emotions, wanting to declare yourself to this potential lover whilst also being aware of your self worth.”

The song's lyrics are empowering and full of self-confidence. They send the message that you deserve to be with someone who wants you as much as you want them. If someone is unsure about their feelings for you, it's time to move on. You're better off without them. The message is one that many women can relate to. It's about knowing your worth and not settling for anything less than what you deserve. "Want To Want Me" is a powerful anthem for all the girls who are ready to find their happily ever after.
