Jakke Fears Not the Fire

“As humans, we sometimes have these fervid experiences in which we lose ourselves in the moment and melt into another plain of existence immeshed in lust and ecstasy”

Almost like a spell's incantation, Jakke's igneous "Burn Me Up" is a sensual electro-pop/R&B open invite or celebration of wild passion, the kind that immolates individuality and makes two people into a single raging fire lighting up the night.

Little by little the song builds up in intensity as it continues to explore its erotic soundscapes and gains smokey shades of alt-rock as if the gritty and edgy tone cannot be contained anymore by the chill atmosphere -this is perhaps a perfect way to encapsulate the birth of the Jakke persona from the ashes of Jake Goble's indie pop-rock project Enjune, as he shifts into what looks to be shaping up a darker and more cinematic sound.

Of the change in direction, Goble says “I realized it was important for me to identify the core musical identity I had become since I started making music legitimately." While leaving fans of his work as Enjune with an equally positive note, saying that "Enjune will always be a vehicle I release certain records under, but Jakke is the driver of it all. When I work on projects of my own or with others, that’ll always be the name you see.”

"Burn Me Up" seems to inhabit the world of eros alone, focusing on the -at times maligned- carnal side of love that has little to nothing to do with romance. Is Desire not a powerful force in and of itself? Can it not be just as real and intense? This part of the human experience deserves its own exploratory anthems, and with "Burn Me Up", Jakke provides just that, looking at the cloudy world of lust with paradoxical clarity.

This song is Jakke's third release under the new alias and it helps prepare the ground for what's promising to be an exceptional debut EP called "How Do You Love", which you can pre-save the heck out of by clicking here . So Whether you're a long-time fan or you're just discovering him, you've no excuses, no missing out on this new exciting phase of Jake Goble's career,
