Daytime Emmy-nominee Bianca is one-half of the D'ambrosio sisterly acting duo. They don't always act together though, and that's exactly what we wanted to talk to Bianca about as she gets ready for the release of the upcoming film CALL JANE, a story set in the 60s where an underground group of suburban women do their best to provide safe abortions in a time before Roe V. Wade. Bianca will be sharing the big screen alongside stars such as Elizabeth Moss and the legendary Sigourney Weaver.

Join us as we talk with Bianca about her skyrocketing career and the animal charity work she does alongside her sister

Congratulations on your Daytime Emmy nomination! may it be the first of many! you're no stranger to having the industry recognizing your work like that, but it's probably always a welcome surprise. What can you tell us about the role that got you nominated?

Thank you so much! I’m so honored to be recognized by the television academy for my role on “The Bay” as Frankie Sanders. Frankie is a young woman who is caring, compassionate, and strong. She will do anything for the people she loves and will stand up to anyone who does wrong. She has a soft side to her around her sister but a harder exterior around everyone else. She is dealing with the recent death of her father and the aftermath of discovering her biological dad is in prison. In this season, Frankie and her sister are in a foster home and are sent away from their home in Colorado to Bay City California with their grandma. Playing Frankie is an honor!

Let's talk a bit about your role in the upcoming film CALL JANE. Who is your character exactly and how do you feel about her so far?

I play Erin who is Lana (Kate Mara’s Daughter). Erin is spunky and sometimes says the things she’s thinking out loud. She was so fun to play, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet her onscreen!

The Film focuses on what has been a long-time feminist and human rights cause, how does it feel like to participate in this kind of drama that is intertwined with an ongoing struggle?

Women have been battling with personal rights since the beginning of time and will continue to keep up the fight for years to come. Although, by population, there have always been more women than men, it took years for women to get the right to vote. We need movies like 'Call Jane'. We need to elevate the conversation and open dialogue about the struggles that women endure on a daily basis, and I could not be prouder of my involvement in this important film.

Though you and your sister are young, you're also veteran actresses by now, still, it must be a great learning experience to be on the same set with Stars such as Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver, have you gotten scenes together?

It was so exciting to work with them! I had scenes with Elizabeth, and she was incredible. She was fun to work with!

You're also on the upcoming comedy film "Lady of the Manor." How are you feeling about this directorial debut by the Long brothers?

They were incredible! Both Justin and Christian were so collaborative and easygoing. I can’t wait for everyone to see the magic they created with this film!

What sort of roles do you like to play the most, is there a particular type of character, movie, or TV show you wanna get involved with?

I love expanding my horizons and playing many different types of characters. In the future, I would be honored to be part of projects like Killing Eve and Stranger Things.

There's still a very long career ahead of you, who are some of the directors and actors you would like to work with the most?

For actors, Jodie Comer, Zendaya, and Jennifer Anniston. I look up to them as actors so much and would be honored to work with them! For directors, to have the opportunity to work with Greta Gerwig and the Duffer Brothers would be incredible!

I hear you and your sister frequently volunteer at animal shelters and rescue leagues. There was definitely an increase in adoptions due to mass lockdowns, but apparently, there have also been mass returns. What's your take on this? is this a real issue that shelters are facing?

We have always rescued dogs since I can remember. One of our dogs, Max, came to us as a foster for a few days and has stayed for nine years! A rescue pet can be such an amazing addition to your family. I applaud the increase in adoptions that occurred during the pandemic, but it breaks my heart that these animals are given a home and then have that home taken away. I am having trouble even thinking about this.
