Ally Barron brings “Never Admit”, a hymn for empowered women

If Ally Barroncaptivated you with the EP “Sincerely, AB” then it is time for you to hear her new single “Never admit”. Along with her team, Ally got her hands on an existing song and added her personal touch to fit her style, but make no mistake, she was meant to do this song, and it chose her as much as she chose it..

“I was not entirely involved in the original writing process of this song, it     was one that lyrically spoke to me. ‘Never Admit’ is about a girl who doesn’t want to come to terms with her toxic relationship. She creates these stories in her head and fantasizes about what could be instead of realizing the truth of her situation”, she said about the track.

Unlike the previous album, and although the song definitely relates to many situations, it is not referring to any personal events in Ally's life. Stay online with us, so you can read everything Ally has to tell, including her response to some funny freaky questions.

Ally, how did you embrace this new track after “Sincerely, AB”?

I have enjoyed creating this song after my EP, “Sincerely, AB”, because it is a bit different than songs I have created in the past. My EP was experimental for me, but this song is where I want to keep my sound moving forward.

We understand that you rewrote the song together with Sam Bierman. What kind of changes or adjustments have you guys made and why?

The song sounded slightly different before it was handed over to Sam and I. We felt there were parts that were too repetitive and certain lyric lines that needed to be changed to fit our understanding of the story. We ultimately added a few lines and extended the song as a whole by adding a bridge and an ending. Although the original version was amazing, we loved the way it turned out and are so happy with the final product.

About “Sincerely, AB” you commented that you were getting closer to your style, but that you were still searching. How do you feel about this right now? Any change or new exploration?

I feel as if I am still playing around with different vibes and genres, but that my general sound has been established. It took me a while to figure out what works best for my audience and I, but over the past two years I think I have finally figured that out.

What would you say today to the Ally who started posting covers of pop songs in high school and attracted a lot of followers?

I would tell my younger self that I am proud of what she has accomplished and impressed by her dedication towards her passion. I never would have thought that at this point in my life I would have made it this far in my career and overcome so many of my fears with music.

What music have you been listening to lately for inspiration?

Recently I have been listening to a lot of slow pop music and summer bops for inspiration, since these genres are ones you’ll be seeing from me in the next few months.

Do you miss acting?

I definitely miss acting a little bit. That was a very fun era of my life and I would love to start it up again, however, there are no plans for acting anytime in the near future.

Any plan for your next step?

Moving forward, I will continue making music and collaborating with as many artists as possible. I am hoping to start booking more shows soon, and will be releasing a merch line very soon.

Ping Pong round

Let´s say you are in troubles, who you call? The first person I call in any situation is my sister.

Let´s say you are hungry. What do you order? I’m always in the mood for sushi, but my go to sweet green salad order is a close second.

Let´s say you go to the bathroom but there’s no paper. What would you do? I feel like the best thing to do in this situation if you can’t find a tissue or paper seat cover anywhere would be to shake it off.

Let´s say you want to take a day off. Where do you go? I love going to the beach on my days off, or just walking around the city. Hanging out with my friends anywhere sounds like a good day off to me.

Let´s say you are down. What do you listen? I love listening to slower music with lyrics I can relate to when I am feeling down.

Let´s say you are going to have a tattoo. What it would be? I actually do have a few tattoos, all of which are symbols or words dedicated to my friends and family members.

Let´s say it’s Friday night. What would you be doing? I usually like to hit the town with my friends on a friday night.

Let´s say you deserve a dessert. What do you order? I love having fresh fruit or a fruit tart as a nice dessert.
