Psiryn is the all-female R&B trio you didn’t realize your playlists were missing until now. Composed of Anaya Chayenne, Jada Denise, and Victoria McQueen, the group masterfully bridges the gap between eras, blending contemporary flair with a deep reverence for the genre’s golden years. Their music evokes the soulful essence of '90s icons like Destiny’s Child and Blaque while still sounding entirely their own.

Their breakout moment came with the release of “The Softest,” a creative reinterpretation of “The Softest Place on Earth” by Xscape. The idea was introduced to them by none other than Kandi Burruss, a former member of the legendary group. Rather than simply reviving a classic, Psiryn transformed it into something new, an homage rooted in tradition. Now, with the release of their debut EP, “In the Key of Us,” the trio moves from promising newcomers to defining voices in modern R&B.

The record opens with “Next,” a powerful introduction that wastes no time establishing their vocal chemistry and stylistic range. The harmonies are tight, the production crisp, and the mood instantly immersive. “Wanted” follows with a more reflective tone, an intimate ballad carried by tender vocals and layered melodies.

“Stressless” marks a pivot in energy, revealing the trio’s versatility as they dip into rap with confidence and fluidity. The track is rhythmic, bold, and endlessly replayable. Then comes “Sober,” a sultry standout that leans into the intimacy and emotional tension that define Psiryn’s sound. With smooth, layered harmonies and lyrics that explore desire and restraint, the track channels the essence of classic R&B while pushing it into bolder, more provocative territory.

Psiryn reminds us that R&B is still fertile ground for innovation, authenticity, and communal storytelling. The project delivers soulful melodies, personal truths, and a sound rooted in sisterhood and shared experience.

“This body of work is for anyone learning how to love without losing themselves,” the trio explains. “It’s soft, it’s strong, and it’s honest. ‘In The Key of Us’ represents who we are, individually and together.”

This EP doesn’t simply introduce Psiryn; it follows a historic milestone. With “Sober,” the trio became the first R&B girl group in over two decades to top Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, marking a breakthrough for contemporary girl groups.

“In The Key of Us,” executive produced by Kandi Burruss and released via Kandi Koated Entertainment, solidifies their presence with intention and soul. Already featured on major playlists like Spotify’s R&B Weekly and Apple Music’s New in R&B, the project positions these girls as powerful storytellers, culture shapers, and vocalists grounded in sisterhood and emotional truth. With heart, harmony, and staying power, they’re helping write the next chapter in R&B.
