Enter The Young Sires!

When I first laid eyes on the music video for “Sim”, I was immediately struck by a sense of familiarity while also being quite wowed by the nearly psychedelic explosion of colors and lights. It’s patently clear that strong visuals is something that matters a lot to The Young Sires, and it’s something that will be at the core of everything that they do here on out.

The newcomer trio are in fact siblings, and that relationship has been building up to the dynamic on which their band is founded upon today, as they proudly model themselves after acts such as Hanson, Beegee’s and The Jonas Brothers; if not by sound, then certainly through that branding aspect.

Immersed from a young age in Sci-Fi, video games and anime, the fresh sound of The Young Sires reflects a digital-age dramatism and sense of theatricallity that is immediately noticeable in the first few seconds of the track. The music video will also have some nice visual cues that fans of The Power Rangers or Neon Genesis Evangelion will no doubt pick up on, and this is because they’re not shy about wearing their influences on their sleeves, and they’re even less shy about putting on a cool spectacle. The Very catchy and forward-facing Pop sound of the group will no doubt draw comparisons with the Kpop movement, and that’s not at all unfounded, as the Brothers are of course influenced by it.

One of the things that makes this release so cool is that this is all entirely home-brewed by the brothers, with Danny Suede taking care of the creation and editing process of all visual assets in the music video. Brother Benn Suede is credited as the overall creative director and visionary of the band. As far as Gene Suede goes, the youngest sibling is credited by the others as the most gifted singer of the tree, elevating their sound and energy with his presence alone. It’s very cool to see that the 3-way effort that is handled almost entirely within that fraternal dynamic, with each bringing in a different strength and skillset to the table, a key asset in the critical and comercial success and longevity for any band
